Bio

I discovered yoga in 2010, it has taken me around the world from India to Thailand, from New York to Guatemala. I completed my first teacher training with Jivamukti in 2012, combining the joy of chanting and veganism, with a physical vinyasa “flow” yoga practice.

I practiced Jivamukti for eight years and then went on to develop my own style incorporating more slow yin yoga elements and building a consistent chakra focus. Sarasvati Flow classes are very similar to the Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior class. In 2021, I qualified with the British Wheel, which helped me to develop Sarasvati Flow further, deepening my knowledge of the chakras.. In 2022 I completed a Trauma Informed and Embodied Resilience training that taught me to really listen to the body. In 2023 I completed a yin teacher training so I now teach Sarasvati Flow and Sarasvati Slow, pure Yin Yoga classes.

Meditation is central to my personal yoga practice. I was lucky to study with Sanskrit scholar and yogini Manorama in New York, who worked with the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras to deepen her students’ awareness of the light present within all of us. I have worked extensively with transcendentl meditation, using mantra, and also loving kindness, metta, meditation.

I have fifteen years of yoga and meditation practice with over three years of teaching experience. I try to enagage meditation, asana and pranayama on a daily basis using breath awareness and mantra meditation to focus the mind and to instil a sense of peace in each day.

Here is a list of some of my studies over the last decade:.

Advanced Yin and Restorative 80hr (YogaBeyond) 2023

Trauma-infomred Resilience and Embodied Yoga 80hr (Golden Mandala) 2023

I enjoy connecting to nature in my free time, and a keen advocate of ecological farming. I founded Farm the City London in 2012 as a karma yoga project, completed a PDC in 2020 and always keen to meet fellow green fingers.
